2020 Lake Havasu Festival of Lights

What a year! Luckily, our lake allowed us to still enjoy events like the IJSBA World Finals last month. Unfortunately, COVID concerns canceled many other events this year. Normally, officials wait until after Thanksgiving to light up the English Village with thousands of twinkling Christmas lights. But, 2020 has proven to be anything but normal. While Thanksgiving may still be a week away, the 2020 Lake Havasu Festival of Lights started celebrating Christmas already.

Want to end 2020 on a positive note? Visit the English Village for the 2020 Lake Havasu Festival of Lights any night between now and Jan 4th, 2021.

Holiday Shopping in Havasu

Not sure what to get your friends and family on this year’s Christmas list? Visit the Aquatic Center this weekend for the Western Welcome Club’s annual Holiday Boutique. Peruse the handcrafted, one-of-a-kind items available from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, November 20th and from 8 am to 2 pm on Saturday, November 21st. Grab yourself a festive decoration or other bits of home decor as well.

If you still need to cross some of the names off your list, make the Christmas Craft and Gift Show your next stop. More than 60 vendors set up shop at the corner of McCulloch and Querio in the event space formerly known as Springberg-McAndrew Park. They remain open from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday (the 21st) and Sunday (the 22nd). Enter one of the raffles for fun prizes as well.

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.
