Lake Havasu Holiday Events 2022

Christmas morning is just 10 days away! How is that even possible?! Have you finished shopping for all the names on your list? No? People magazine found that just over half of Americans wait until Christmas Eve to shop for gifts. Not me! That just adds stress to my life which I try very hard to avoid. And if you need to ship presents elsewhere, you are running out of time. UPS. FedEx. Amazon. The post office. “Overnight shipping” is pretty much off the table now. But after all the hubbub of finding the right gifts dies down, how about actually enjoying the season? Attend any (or all) of these Lake Havasu holiday events to fill yourself up with seasonal cheer.

There are tons of fun Lake Havasu holiday events scheduled to take place between now and the new year. Ice skating. Mrs. Claus' storytime. S'mores by the fire. Christmas lights. the lighting of the menorah. Which ones do you plan on attending?

Festival of Lights

If you find yourself shopping in the English Village for your holiday gift, you definitely need to do it at nighttime. Why? Each evening between dusk and 10 pm, thousands of twinkling lights illuminate the skies above. The festival ends on January 8th, 2023. Park for free at either the English Village, the London Bridge Resort, or the Convention Center.

Ice Skating

Yes. Outdoor ice skating happens here in the desert. The London Bridge Resort set up an outdoor ice rink. From now until January 15th, 2023, they open up at 4 pm. They close at 8 pm on Wednesdays and Sundays, 9 pm on Thursdays, and 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The rink only opens on Mondays and Tuesdays for private parties. The only day they close the rink completely to everyone is on Christmas Day. Get your tickets by visiting IceSkateHavasu.com.

12 Days of Christmas

Another one of the fun Lake Havasu holiday events hosted by the London Bridge Resort is its 12 Days of Christmas. Any Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday between now and December 23rd, head over to The Backyard at Kokomo. Enjoy s’mores by the firepits. Listen to Mrs. Claus recite classic Christmas tales. Visit the arts and crafts vendors. Let the kids make their own ornaments to take home with them. And grab a little something for your belly from one of the food vendors on-site. This event takes place from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Hannukah Cheer

For our Jewish friends and neighbors, there will be an official lighting of the giant menorah by the London Bridge on December 18th. Festivities begin at 5:30 pm. Organizers feed guests tasty latkes, donuts, and chocolate gelt before lighting the menorah up.

As you can see, there are tons of fun Lake Havasu holiday events planned for the rest of this month (and even into the new year). Any of them provides a chance to make some wonderful memories with your loved ones. Happy holidays from our family to yours!
